Glad you are all doing well. Things for me have been good. I have been extremely busy with a million different things. Between work, some consulting projects I've been doing, school, sports, church, running, and a social life I have been swamped. I have felt lately like I really need to drop a couple of things so I can give 100% to a few things rather than 60% to many things. Hopefully this week I can get some of those issues figured out.
I am in a cool internship class this semester where we are interviewing some of Utah's top entrepreneurs and this week I interviewed a guy name Jesse Stay. He is an expert on social media and has written several books. He has his own business and has recently begun working for the church doing most of their social media stuff. It was really interesting to talk with him and a great opportunity to network with someone like him.
I have also been starting my own e-commerce web site. It's kind of a long story but I am in this web site competition where the goal is to build your site and see who can get the most traffic to the site. It is actually a fairly easy and good way to make quite a bit of money if you are good at it. Even if the monetary side of things doesn't work out, it is a great skill to know. I am excited about that opportunity.
I have been running a lot still. I did a 10 miler this Saturday which was good. My joints are pretty sore but it felt really good. I also signed up for the Salt Lake City half-marathon on April 16. You guys should come watch if you can. I am excited for it and am really enjoying running. I've lost some weight and am feeling good about getting back into shape. I also really love the mental aspect of it. It requires a lot of mental toughness and I love the feeling of telling myself I am going to run a certain distance and then pushing myself to go just a little bit farther and faster than I had originally plan. It feels good to have this discipline.
The social life is going fairly well too. I have been on a lot of dates lately and have 2 or 3 planned in the next little bit. Nothing too serious with any one girl but there are a couple that I'm interested in. We'll see how it goes. The dating game is sometimes a frustrating process but I try to enjoy it as much as I can.
I sure love you all and am glad that you are happy and healthy. Thanks for being so great. Stoove, congrats on getting ready to turn your papers in. That is awesome! We're all proud of you. Love you all and hope that you have a great week!
Ken
