Dear Family,
I was the only one not to post anything so I didn't want to be left out. Dad and I went out on a date with Steve Keim and his wife Bonnie on Friday. We went to Texas Roadhouse and then to the movie True Grit. Dad and I never saw the original True Grit with John Wayne so we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty good but a little raw in a few places. When we got home the original was on T.V. so we watched that until the end. Some things were similar but you could tell they modernized this latest version. It was a good film and it is up for several academy awards. After the movie we went to this yogurt place called Orange Leaf. It is kind of self serve and they charge you by the weight. They have all kinds of toppings and flavors and the yogurt was so good. Maybe you guys have heard of the franchise before but I never had.
We enjoyed Sunday dinner with 4 of Steven's roommates and Steven. They are all such good kids. Steven is blessed to have 5 returned missionaries for roommates and such good examples. We had them all share an experience from their mission that was a learning experience, or a special spiritual experience, or a turning point in their mission. They all had some great things to share. Steven seems to fit in just fine with all those guys.
This week I have a scripture tote sewing workshop and humanitarian day for Relief Society and I am giving the lesson this Sunday in Relief Society. My topic is Love so I am focusing on different themes i.e. Love in the home, Love of self, Love of your neighbor (Specifically missionary work-Doctrine of Inclusion), Love of Spouse, and Love of God. We will see how it all goes.
I need to get off because we are getting ready for Tom Mannschreck to visit today. It is always a little stressful when he comes to town. He is just like an Everready Bunny.
Love you all,
Mom
